Book Review - The Mystery of The Blue Train

Hi All!
Today I'm gonna review my first detective novel written in English. I'm not a book nut actually, but when it comes to detective novel, I just want to read all of them. I'm curious about novels written by Agatha Christie since I was in the college. However, I never tried to read one of them until this week. For your information, I have a kindle. I bought it in the last April. Actually, kindle is one of the e-book reader gadget which is very famous nowadays. When I bought it, the seller gives me a CD which is consist of so many books in PDF formats. I am so glad since I could find some novels by Agatha Christie in it. Then, after that, I tried to read one of them which has the title "The Mystery of The Blue Train".

The story was begun when the American millionaires named Rufus Van Aldin give his daughter (named Ruth Van Aldin or Ruth Kettering) a very special ruby named "Heart of Fire" which cost $ 500.000. After that, Mr. Van Aldin was told by his daughter that she was tired of her husband (Derrek Kettering). It is not the first or the second complaint of his daughter about her husband. Mr. Van Aldin was very angry and he told his daughter to divorce her husband. Ruth agreed with her father's decision, but she was afraid that Derrek will oppose it. And that's true. When Mr. Van Aldins' secretary named Knighton came to Derrek to give him a cheque valuing $100.000, he rejected it immediately. Derrek also did not accept his wife allegation saying that he had an affair with a dancer named Mirelle. Derrek mentioned that the one who had an affair is his wife. Mr. Van Aldin was confused with Derrek's statement. He then asked his daughter about it and she admitted that she had an affair with Comte de la Roche. Her father was very angry and tell her to finish their relationship since he knew that Comte de La Roche is a swindler and this man only used his daughter. His daughter seemed to agree with it. But, in her head, she has a big plan to meet this man in London. Then, she told to her father that she would like to travel to Riviera to meet her friends. Mr. Van Aldin has no doubt and he allowed his daughter. Ruth went to Riviera using the Blue Train with her maid named Ada Mason. And surprisingly, her husband, Derrek also in the train with Mirelle. It is not a coincidence for Derrek. He already knew about this plan from Mirelle. Mirelle heard it from her friend who also a friend of Comte de La Roche. Then, the incident was happened. Ruth was murdered in the Blue Train. In the train, there are also Mr. Hercule Poirot - a detective who already off from his job, Ms. Katherine Grey - a woman who wanted to travel to London for the first time.

The ending of this story was very unexpected. I guess that the murderer was this one, or this one, or maybe this one. Actually when I read some detective novels, one of my guess will be true, but not this time. No one of guess was true. So who killed Ruth? If you want to know about the ending. you could read this novel. Wkwkwkw you will be surprised to know about the killer of Ruth.
I could tell you that this is the best detective novel I ever read. I thought that no one could beat Sir Arthur Conan Doyle when it comes to detective novels, but I proved that I'm wrong.

Okay, I think that's all. Thank you!!
